On Friday 7th March, Ysgol Tycroes hosted a Fairtrade Coffee morning as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.

Parents and friends of the school in the community were invited to learn a bit more about Fairtrade ethos from our Year 6 pupils.

Our year 6 pupils were showcasing their excellent ICT skills (using programming skills to create Fairtrade games and apps on the Macbooks). A wonderful opportunity for pupils to display their excellent ICT skills to the community.

We are very grateful indeed to Starbucks of Llanelli for supplying coffee, and Cross Hands Co-Op for supplying the Fairtrade hamper for the raffle.

Pancakes were also offered - all pancakes made using Fairtrade produce.

In attendance was Mr Greg Morgan, ERW / Carmarthenshire School Improvement Officer and Lead Adviser for ICT, who was very impressed with the children's work.
