The Food Co-op will be temporarily changing supplier after the Easter break.
Up until now, fresh produce has been supplied by Mr Brian Jeffreys directly from his farm in Llanrhidian, Gower. However, now the summer term has arrived, he needs chance to sow the seeds ready for a new harvest in September when we will return providing produce from Mr Jeffreys’ farm. We would like to thank Mr Jeffreys for all his hard work in providing us with produce of the highest quality.
In order to continue to provide a high quality service, the Food Co-op will begin to supply a wide range of freshly sourced produce from the wholesaler Mr Peter Broughton.
This will allow us to provide some great new options such as a Stir Fry Kit, Stew Kit, Veg Bag, Fruit Bag, Milk, Eggs Bread and much more. Please take a look at the new Price List (Displayed on School Notice Board) to see what is available.
The Year 6 pupils in Ysgol Tycroes run the Food Co-op. Therefore, by supporting the Food Co-op, not only are you supporting the local economy but you are also supporting the education of your children.
Through running the Food Co-op, the pupils learn entrepreneurial skills that will only be of benefit to their future. They are developing Numeracy skills by managing the accounts, along with Literacy Skills by speaking to customers and phoning the supplier to place orders.
The positives of you supporting and ordering from the Food Co-op is rewarded by knowing that you are also providing the pupils of your school with a fantastic learning opportunity.
Please take time to look at our Food Co-op Price List; your orders will be very much appreciated.
